An uncovered pool loses most of its heat overnight through evaporation, so a cover traps that heat, helps your pump reach temperature faster and can cut running costs significantly. Henden actually rate their efficiency figures with a cover in use — so it's what makes those running-cost numbers realistic. We supply pool covers too, so just ask and we'll sort one to suit your pool.
It depends on pool size, starting temperature and the weather, but an inverter heat pump is designed to reach your set temperature and then hold it efficiently. A cover and running your filtration through the day both speed it up. For your first heat-up we'll suggest leaving it running until it reaches temperature, then it simply maintains.

We supply and deliver Henden heat pumps Australia-wide through Reece's national network — with free delivery included in every price, so you can buy from us wherever you are. Prefer to collect? Choose free pickup from your nearest Reece branch at the same price. For installs in our local service area, delivery is handled as part of getting your unit on site.
Please inspect your heat pump on arrival. If anything is damaged in transit, let us know within 48 hours (with photos) so we can sort it out quickly. Once a unit has been delivered and left on site, it's in your care.
Heat pumps are ordered in for your specific job, so we don't offer change-of-mind returns. Please choose your model carefully — we're happy to help you size it right before you commit.
This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. If a unit has a major fault you're entitled to a replacement or refund; for a minor fault we'll arrange a repair. Every Henden heat pump is also covered by the manufacturer's warranty — up to 25 years on the titanium heat exchanger. If something goes wrong, talk to us first — we'll handle it.
